The challenge in the project
SEMMARIS, the firm which manages Rungis International market, is iin charge of using and selling all of the property within the world’s largest fresh produce market. In order to develop new business areas, SEMMARIS entrusted GEDOUIN INGENIERIE with the construction of a modular building for several users.
Our response
In close collaboration with its client, GEDOUIN INGENIERIE designed a project with the maximum modular capacity. The building, which took 15 months to erect, includes around twenty storage units and can thus house a large number of users. Based on the same concept, offices are available in open space format and can be arranged to suit requirements. The building also has a car park in the basement with 600 spaces, fire doors and special safety features because of the business on the ground floor.
